City of Fallen Angels”City of Fallen Angels” by Cassandra Clare is the 4th installment in ‘The Mortal Instruments’ series. I knew it was not trilogy and a lot was kept open ended in 3rd book still the 3rd book felt like a right ending to me. The main villain was dead and romantic issues were solved and they lived happily ever after, right? Apparently not!

The war is over, Clary is back home with her mom and finally she can call Jace her boy-friend. Simon has new love interests and her mom is getting married to real love of her life. But the problems never seems to end. There is someone murdering the shadow hunters and provoking tension between downworlders and shadow hunters. Simon has his own problems to deal, his mother is freaking out after finding the truth about him. Jace has his own demons to fight, his nightmares are getting real.

I liked the conflicts and for my own surprise I liked this book better than the previous books. But Jace was really annoying and I felt frustrated reading their relationships going on and off. The ending OH GOD, there was this big cliff hanging moment which made me cry out loud with anger. My rating 4 out of 5.

City of glass”City of Glass” is the third book in the mortal instruments series. I liked this book better than the second one, but the first book is still my favorite in this series. I don’t know what to say about this series, its not AMAZING and it is not TERRIBLE. Most of the time I try to avoid book series, especially when there are more than three books. Because I know that once I start I can’t go back without reading the last book in the series.

Clary wants to travel to city of Glass to find answers and save her mother. But Jace doesn’t want to involve her in shadow hunter business and takes off to glass city with the others, leaving her behind. Unfortunately Simon is dragged into the mess and he is thrown into prison for no reason. Clary uncovers more about her family’s past and she finds an ally in mysterious Shadow hunter Sebastian. But there is some secret mission going on, of which no one is aware of. Soon Clary finds answers to all her questions.

My rating: 3 out of 5. I feel that author could have ended the story here, but there are 3 more books in the series. I would like to read and find out more.

City of Ashes”City of ashes” is the second installment in The Mortal instruments series. I have picked up pretty big series here now I will have to finish it. This book was an average read where it maintained the same voice from the first book. supernatural life, coupled with bits of Christianity sprinkled throughout makes for a fascinating read. It is like I don’t even like the book but I like the story. It has enough excitement to make you read the series, just to see what happens?

Clary’s life can never go back to normal becuase she is a shadow hunter and she knows the truth. But it seems like its geting more and more complicated. Someone in New York City is murdering Downworlder children. When the second of the Mortal Instruments, the Soul-Sword, is stolen, the terrifying Inquisitor arrives to investigate and suspects her brother Jace for stealing it. Clary is still trying to control her feelings for Jace and she doesn’t want to hurt Simon either.

My rating: 3 out of 5. It is a good time pass read, I recommend this to Paranormal YA fans. But make sure to read the first book in the series before you jump into this one.

City of BonesCity of Bones is the first book in the series- ”The Mortal Instruments”. A book about paranormal things and has angel and demon concept. I liked reading this book even though I have read many negative reviews about this I just can’t hate this book. But I don’t love this book either. Its just that I enjoyed reading this book and I gave 3 out of 5 which means I liked it ūüôā

Now about the story-¬†fifteen-year-old Clary Fray can see things which others can’t see, like a murder committed in the middle of a club where 3 teenagers wit tattoos kill this silver haired guy but she can’t call police because no one can see it and the body is disappeared into thin air. This is her first meeting with Shadow hunters, with in 2 hours Clary’s life is filled with them as only they can help find her mom. Jace is this angel looking shadow hunter who rescues her and with whom she falls in love with. There is a childhood friend of her Simon who is ready to do anything for her because he loves her. But why demons would be interested in ordinary teenage girl? Why was she given this sight to see demons and shadow hunters? Is she special or just a girl who somehow got unlucky and got this special sight?

The movie adaptation of this novel is released recently and as usual book was better than movie. While reading the book entire time I wanted Jace and Clary to be together and while watching movie I was like Simon looks better than Jace. I don’t understand Jace is supposed to be hot, not Simon and ¬†Isabelle is supposed to be¬†way¬†hotter than Clary. Casting of the movie is sure screwed up.
