Blackout”Blackout” is the 3rd and final installment in Newsflesh Trilogy. Zombies, journalists,  bloggers and a dystopian twist there is a lot to like in this series. Here zombies are secondary but the problem caused by zombies takes the limelight. How some officials are misusing their power to take control over the people by loosing their humanity and acting more like a zombie themselves is the highlight here. This book was interesting than the first two, it was long but it wasn’t boring. There was excitement everywhere, things happened  and secrets were revealed in every chapter.

It all started in 2014 where the common cold and cancer was cured. Undead started walking around the earth killing and converting whoever crossed the path. But the world didn’t end, people found a way to live around this zombies. In 2039 Georgia and Shaun Mason started their adventure to set a biggest story of revealing the truth about these undead. Now in 2041 after loosing Georgia, Shane is the leader of the surviving staff of After the End Times. He is waiting for his revenge, to find out and kill whoever did that to his sister. There are mad scientists, zombie bears, and rouge government agencies they have to face and not to forget our evergreen zombies. Things are getting worse but the biggest secret is yet to reveal that is the re birth of Georgia Mason.

I was bit disturbed by the sibling love affair but then they were adopted so there is no blood relation. The ending made me happy but the same time left me kind of  heart broken. My rating: 4 out of the 5. I highly recommend this book to YA dystopian fans.

Deadline by Mira Grant Deadline  is the second book in Newsflesh Trilogy. This zombie series are entirely different than others, because these  are more like science and political related than horror and zombies.  The undead are just in the background while men do all the dirty work in their name.

I am not a big fan of this series, the first book- Feed was good compared to the second book. Now that his sister is dead, Shaun Mason is in charge of running the news organization he built with his sister. But he can hardly concentrate on that. Now he is not an Erwin, playing with dead things are not fun anymore. One day a CDC researcher fakes her own death and appears on his doorstep  with a secret that brings back the reason for Shaun to live and fight. They face planned attacks wherever they go. Someone is preventing them from knowing the truth behind the secret.

Its a good concept, but I found the book bit boring and slow going. As it lacks zombie action its ”dry and hard to finish reading kind”. My  rating: 2 out of 5.

Feed by Mira GrantKellis-Amberlee is a fact of existence. You live, you die, and then you come back to life, get up, and shamble around trying to eat your former friends and loved ones. That’s the way it is for everyone.

We all know zombies, we like to watch them in movies and read about them. No idea who created such a terrific walking dead characters. ”Feed” is all about a world full of zombies. They die and come alive start killing more. This entire story starts in 2014 when the first time Kellis- Amberlee virus is discharged by mistake. People have no worries, they  have cured common cold, they have cure for cancer but no one actually dies too.

Now, twenty years after the Rising, bloggers Georgia and Shaun Mason are on the trail of the biggest story of their lives  they have been selected to follow a political rally with future president. They are Bloggers, they live to create sensation among people. But soon they will see dark truth hidden behind the world. There is someone who wants them to leave. But Georgia is one brave newsie who breathes news and lives for that.  Will they ever come to know what is cuasing deaths of innocent people?  Even after getting control over the dead after so many years. Is American politics is affected by zombies or people inside it?

There are lot of interesting facts about zombies in this book. Like: its caused by virus and it can not effect small animals like cats, every time some one goes out to field and comes he has to go through blood testing, this virus can also cause some peculiar eye damage which most of the women will get. This book is all about blogging. Blogger with top rating is a celebrity there.  Georgia and Shaun Mason are top bloggers who broadcasts everything about the political rally to get their ratings.  My rating is : 3 out of 5. Its  a good book but in some places it is slow going. If you are expecting a lot of zombie action then it is not a good choice. This book is mixture of politics, blogging, and zombies.
