The Death Cure”The Death Cure” is the 3rd and final book in Maze Runner Trilogy. After reading  the 2nd book ”The Scorch Trials” I lost hope for this series. After reading the final book I completely lost it, I was like- it better be a joke, this is not the ending. No questions were answered and story completely lost its track and I was angry. Was it just me or did it feel like the author had absolutely no idea where to go with this story? I feel like 90% of the book is left unexplained.

Thomas and the others are back from their Scorch Trials and now WICKED says that they have enough data to make the cure. Now they have to restore the memories of Gladers to help them with their ultimate mission. But Thomas still does not believe in them because he has remembered something he knows that not a single word WICKED say is true. Will anyone survive this? What is really going on around the world?

The end was very abrupt and unsatisfying. My rating: 3 out of 5. I am not that happy with this book but still I recommend this book to people who loved the first book and read the second book and just want to get over with this series.

The Scorch TrialsThe Scorch Trials by James Dashner is the second installment in Maze runner series. I loved the first book ”The Maze Runner” an amazing story about teenagers trapped in a maze. Compared to the first book, The Scorch Trials is slow moving and dull story.

Thomas and the team from Maze were rescued dramatically in the first book and the story picks up exactly from where the first book ended. They all sleep safe and sound but wake up to missing Theresa and a new game. This time they are not trapped in a maze but they are free in a desert, with a goal to reach. But they can reach their goal only if they are not burned alive in the desert. Whose side is Theresa? Where did she disappear? Who is the new kid in the group?

This book is structured very differently than the first book, thats the reason some people ( including me ) prefer the first book. Maze runner was in neat and tidy format, on the other hand this book has lot of uncertainty. I totally didn’t get the concept of torturing some poor kids in the name of experiments for saving the human race when none of these makes any sense. I felt as if this WICKED team is some kind of game making team where they gamble over children. My rating: 3 out of 5. I wanted to give 2 because nothing in this book made sense to me but I gave one extra and made it 3 for the extraordinary imagination in this book.

mazerunnerI am back from my short vacation to beautiful Bali ( Indonesia), island of strong Hindu culture and heritage. Now I have 15 books in my ”read” list to be reviewed. I have read 78 books so far towards my Goal of reading 100 books ( Good reads 2013 reading challenge). Relaxed by wonderful holiday I am ready to read more books 🙂

The Maze runner is young adult science fiction, where teenagers are locked inside the maze, with out any memory of out side world. Thomas is new guy in the maze, he wakes up in his lift without any memory of past. But he remembers his name, when the lift opens he is not alone. He is welcomed by group of boys to Glade covered by stone walls. No one remembers anything except their names. Here every morning the stone doors to the maze that surrounds them have opened. Every night they’ve closed tight. And every thirty days a new boy has been delivered in the lift. This system never failed, until Thomas showed up. Because very next day lift delivers another person but this time it is a girl. First girl to ever arrive in Glade. Thomas feels familiar  feeling towards her. Thomas might be someone important than he could ever guess!

It is wonderful tale of fiction. I recommend this to ”Hunger Games” fans,it will not disappoint you. Movie adaptation by the same name is releasing by 2014. Dylan O’Brienas Thomas is in main role. I liked him from Teen wolf series, he is really good!
