DivergentDivergent is a dystopian YA fiction I came to read when I was desperately wanted to read something similar to ”Hunger Games” series. This is no fight to death but some similar aspects caught my attention. There is a rebellion protagonist female character just like the HG series.

Here  society is divided into five factions, each dedicated to the cultivation of a particular virtue–Candor (the honest), Abnegation (the selfless), Dauntless (the brave), Amity (the peaceful), and Erudite (the intelligent). On particular appointed day  all 16 year  olds must go through test to choose their faction. Its their duty to be true to their faction and choose what they were born into. When they select other factions they are considered as traitors in their old faction. Beatrice has to make a choice between staying with her family and being who she really is. But when she finally chose a faction she is in a fear of being faction less as she has to go through a lot to prove herself there. But her test results were kept hidden and the secret is known to only Beatrice and the invigilator about  something which can’t be revealed. There is something in Beatrice which will lead to change in everything something few feared from a long time.

I enjoyed reading this book, my rating: 4 out of 5. It may seem little high but I couldn’t give it 3.5. I recommend this to YA fans.
