And The Mountains Echoed, new book from KHALED HOSSEINI

I never posted about up comings books or new books in the market. But this time I couldn’t control myself. Khaled Hosseini’s new book ”And The Mountains Echoed” is releasing on 5/21/2013. I am so excited. I started dancing when I saw this news on his face book page *** opan gangnam style***!

I loved his previous books, ”The Kite Runner” & ” Thousand splendid suns”. I have lot of expectations on this book. I can’t wait to read this book.

Reading Hangover

Reading Hangover! I get them a lot. Every book can’t give you a hangover. Have your ever felt like living in a book and never return to reality? Even after you finished reading you still think about the books and characters then I am sure you have reading hangover. Which is common and only one medicine is to  read another book

Why not me?

I have been reading a lot lately, as I have plenty of time I don’t know what else to do. It feels good to sit with a book and get lost in another world. I read few remarkable books recently like- ”Before I Go To Sleep” and ”Anna Dressed In Blood” and my reaction was exactly like  the image below which I found in some other blog ( sorry I forgot the name!)

I have been thinking of writing a novel and when I read damn good debut novels like ”Before I Go To Sleep”  my reaction is this. I don’t know anyone can write that great in their first attempt.

Think I will have to work hard! Its not that easy as reading.

Back from Vacation, with a light heart, relaxed mind and lots of books…..

After a month I am back, happy to see my blog again:) Vacation was long and good, but nothing as planed. After a long gap of an year,  meeting my parents was the happiest moment. Now I am back with a light heart, relaxed mind. This time I bought 14 books while coming back! the books I was craving for….

Even though I decided not to read while I was on vacation I read a book ( Matagathi by Ravi Belagere) and picked a self help book from my mini library at my parents place, which I finished reading almost half ( Who will cry when you Die by Robin Sharma) Soon I will be back with reviews.

Vacation time….

Vacation time.. OOOOOOhhhhh Hooooo….. After an year now going on a vacation. I can  imagine the smell of salty air and cool breeze  on my face Looking forward to spend some good time with family and friends. I don’t think I can read any book when I am there but I am planning to buy lot of books!

 For a month I am taking a break from blogging, will be back soon.. Untill then take care and Happy reading

Fifty shades of ”Mania”

People are going crazy about ”Fifty Shades Trilogy” every day I see some one or the other posting about these books. Some times it is good things and most of the times about how much they hate it. I know can’t blame them, I personally did’t like the first book ( so far I could read only one book out of three ). Whatever it is people are talking about it and buying these books so it is definitely a huge hit.

It is considered as fan fiction of ”Twilight series” but the best part is there are many spoofs, spin-off and parodies of this Fifty shades books. I was surprised to see 24 books in the list. Totally unbelievable isn’t it

Some of the titles are very interesting :

•  Fifty shades of gay

the list goes on…… I would like to read few books from this list.But I don’t think after reading the original book I can take the word fifty shades anymore! It is like anyone can write a book with fifty shades and something on the title. I love this idea ha ha, may be I can write a book  and name it  Fifty shades of total rubbish or fifty shades of cheese burger with soda

Black Cat Bookmark

This is a quick post about my new bookmark. I bought a Black Cat bookmark recently and it is so adorable. It has got a detachable head and designed body ( which is the actual bookmark). To tell the truth this is my first bookmark. I never used a book ark till now, even in my schooldays I always used pen or pencil as bookmark if its required and while reading novels I always remembered the page number It never occurred to me to get a bookmark( I know, stupid right!).

Even though it looks like it is for kids,before buying I made sure that  it is not.I like black cat

Smelling books before reading them for the first time! Super excited :)

I haven’t finished even a single book which I bought recently! ”The secret of little bees”, ”Riptide” and ”Disco Daddy” are lying in my shelf. I think I have to forget about reading old books from my shelf  soon( ”One day”, ”The House” and ” After the Party”) I bought 2 more books now to add to my collection, ”The Help” and ”Before I Go To Sleep”. I am super exited,I have heard a lot about this 2 books.

That is my recent purchase, love forever teddies I always love the smell of book it is warm and reminds me so many things. I am looking forward to read these books soon. As now I own kindle I am busy reading books in it but I cant forget the pleasure of smelling a new book.

My birthday gift ❤❤❤❤ Kindle fire

Always I like to celebrate my birthday like a big event. I get exited about that before a month  It is so good to get many calls from family and friends,this year was no different. I started getting my gifts a week before! I got 2 dresses from my husband. It is the usual gift I get from my mom but as I was away from her this time I really missed my mom and dad. But I was happy to get call from them Okay now I don’t want to drag anymore details because my birthday was  a week back that is 7th of June and I am sure people will get bored if I write about everything here.

I GOT AMAZON KINDLE FIRE…… WOOOOOO hoooooooooo  Yeaaaaay! I know I was thinking of buying this from a long time. But I got this from my husband as a birthday gift I can’t say how exited I am! I don’t think anything can be a better gift than that especially to me! (Everyone knows what a big book worm I am)

This is my new kindle with my lovely doll. I liked him when I first saw him in one of the malls here and for my surprise after a month my husband gave it to me as birthday gift. I like double colored hearts all over his body, he is cute isn’t he?

Now I can read e books on kindle. I already started reading The walking dead Comic series on kindle. But in Middle East I can’t get any free books available on amazon.  Many authors made it unavailable in certain countries. As I am not from here( I know that we are not going to settle here) I can always download free books in future
